We have already seen Festivus manifest itself in every corner of the world, and in every walk of life, but we’ve never experienced a Festivus burlesque show… until now.
What a minute. Festivus burlesque? Sounds intriguing…
Festivus, born and raised in the living room of an upstate New York family, has clearly reached another level of notoriety.
The very special Festivus event takes place on Thursday 3rd December at The Attic Bar at The ArtHouse Hotel, 275 Pitt Street, Sydney, Australia.
That’s right, a well-known Sydney, Australia burlesque troupe, Red Velvet Road Productions is rejecting Christmas and honoring the Constanza family, of Seinfeld fame, and celebrating Festivus for the Rest of Us!
If you head over to the “Secret Hideaway” you will be treated to a great night of burlesque and sideshow from some of Sydney’s very best performers. But never fear, there will be no Christmas wishes or tinsel-clad performances, instead, prepare yourself for the Festivus traditional Airing of Grievances, Feats of Strength and maybe a Festivus Miracle or two…
“We have performers who will demonstrate feats of strength, we are getting a Festivus pole, and the performers will all air their grievances,” event organizer Katie Bell explained.
Of course FestivusWeb has a very special connection to this event. For their last show of the year, the show features a very exclusive benefit: Two copies of “Festivus! The Book” will be given away as door prizes.
